A Los Angeles Metro bus driver was stabbed in the back in Venice on June 22, and a suspect believed to be homeless was taken into custody.
The stabbing occurred Thursday afternoon along Windward Circle.
A witness told KCAL9 he saw the driver, who was outside the bus, get attacked by an apparently homeless man. The witness said he ran to the scene and pepper-sprayed the attacker, who was later seen handcuffed and being loaded into an ambulance.
The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
There was no word on what may have prompted the attack. No information was immediately available about the suspect….
