LONG BEACH, Calif.—A capacity field of 2,700 runners competed in the 38th annual Long Beach Marathon Oct. 10, including 17 who have completed all 37 previous editions of the race.
Raymon Ornelas won the men’s race in a time of 2:31:06.18, ahead of Enrique Villa at 2:35:37.22 and John Cota at 2:36:27.64.
Ornelas attends Long Beach State. He was born in Corona and graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale.

The women’s race was topped by Margaux Curcuru of Los Angeles in a time of 2:53:20.98. Kaleigh Young was second at 3:00:59.75, and Leanne Van Andel was third at 3:11:34.04….
