An employee at Shanghai’s subway network told The Epoch Times that he had seen several people suddenly collapse and exhibit COVID-19 symptoms in recent weeks, long before authorities announced any new local cases. Local authorities in Shanghai reported a new outbreak of COVID-19 on Jan. 21, although the city declared “no more suspected cases” on Jan. 2. COVID-19 is caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.
