Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been cleared to return to game action after a series of COVID-19 tests came back negative. James, 37, tested positive for the disease on Nov. 29. But further testing indicated that result was a false positive, the NBA said in a statement Thursday. “Additional testing confirmed that he is not a positive case,” the NBA said. The league’s health and safety protocols dictate a player who tests positive for COVID-19 must enter quarantine until 10 days pass or they test negative twice across two days. Unvaccinated players are under stricter rules, including needing to isolate if they’re exposed to a confirmed case.
