LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The number of coronavirus patients in Los Angeles County hospitals dropped for the 25th time in the past 27 days, declining from 947 to 907, according to the latest data released by the state. The number of those patients in intensive care remained at 278. Hospitalizations due to the virus had reached nearly 1,800 during the summer peak fueled by the Delta variant. The latest figures come as county health officials reported 1,174 new cases of COVID-19 and 14 additional deaths Sept. 26. The number of cases and deaths likely reflect reporting delays over the weekend.
