India’s foreign minister has been forced to pull out of the face-to-face Group of Seven meetings in London after two members of his delegation tested positive for the CCP virus. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said on Wednesday he will have to join the G-7 foreign ministers’ meeting online instead of in person. “Was made aware yesterday evening of exposure to possible COVID positive cases. As a measure of abundant caution and also out of consideration for others, I decided to conduct my engagements in the virtual mode. That will be the case with the G-7 Meeting today as well,” he wrote on Twitter. India is not a G-7 member but was invited to the summit along with Australia, South Africa, and South Korea. The British government said two Indian delegates tested positive and therefore the entire delegation is self-isolating.
