How do ancient military and Confucius writings in China help win wars and manage a country? And how has the modern world adapted these strategies? In particular, in the U.S.-China relationship, strategic development is very important. I spoke with Morgan Deane, author of the new book, “Beyond Sun-Tzu: Classical Chinese Debates on War and Statecraft.” We discuss how the Chinese Communist Party may adopt these strategies against the West, and what we can learn to counter China’s military and economic expansionism.
