LOS ANGELES—The most recent housing market report shows home prices rising across Southern California, with a nearly 12 percent increase in Los Angeles County from last year, 26.6 percent in Orange County, and 16 percent in San Diego County. The median price of an existing, single-family home in the Los Angeles metro area was $725,000 in February, up from $700,000 in January and from $649,000 one year ago, the California Association of Realtors reported on March 15. In the City of Los Angeles, the median price declined from last month’s $800,960 to $773,490, but up from $686,760 a year ago. In Orange County, the median price was $1.26 million, up from $1.195 million this January and $995,000 in February 2021.
