Days after the attack against writer Salman Rushdie, an official who asked that his name not be mentioned, said Hassan Mattar, the father of Hadi Mattar lives in a small village of Yaroun in southern Lebanon.
Matar has been refusing to speak to journalists since the stabbing happened adding that he is locking himself at home and not appearing in public.
Hassan Mattar lives a simple life in his two-storey house.
Hadi Matar was born in the U.S. to parents who emigrated from Yaroun in southern Lebanon near the Israeli border, according to the village’s mayor.
