The robotics team from the Faculty of Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) competed in the “Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union’s Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2022” on Aug. 21, and successfully defeated teams from all over the Asia-Pacific to win the Grand Prix Award. Professor Martin D.F. Wong, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at CUHK, expressed his pride and hoped that CUHK engineering students would continue to strive for the best in the future.
The CUHK robotics team won the championship in the “Robocon 2022 Hong Kong Contest” in June, and successfully obtained the qualification to represent Hong Kong in the ABU Robocon. The event was held in New Delhi, India, bringing together a total of 13 regional winning teams from tertiary institutions in 12 countries and territories.
