RAMONA, Calif.—A head-on collision in which one person reportedly was killed and another injured prompted a Sig Alert—an unplanned road closure alert issued by California Highway Patrol—Nov. 25 in Ramona.
NBC 7 and Fox 5 reported the fatality and injury in the 5 a.m. crash on State Route 78 between Ramona and Julian.
According to the highway patrol, a Honda Civic and a Nissan Altima were involved in the wreck.
The Sig Alert was issued for SR-78 in both directions at 5:18 a.m. with no estimated reopening time.
