Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell was moved to a low-security prison in Florida that offers a number of amenities including yoga and movies to serve out her 20-year prison sentence.
Updated records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons show that Maxwell, 60, was moved to the Tallahassee Federal Correctional Institution, which is described on its website as a “low security federal correctional institution with a detention center.”A judge had asked to have her serve out her sentence in the Federal Correctional Institution Danbury, in Connecticut.
Accused of being a madam to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, Maxwell was convicted in December on five federal charges including sex trafficking of a minor. Prosecutors accused the British-born socialite and Epstein, a multimillionaire, of plotting to lure and groom young girls into relationships with Epstein between 1994 and 2004.
