ATLANTA—Georgia voters are now deciding one of America’s most competitive races.
The Senate race between incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) and Republican challenger Herschel Walker may decide which party controls the Senate.
And in Georgia, a purple state, every ballot counts. Voters seem to recognize this power. Many went to the polls to vote early in record numbers, polls showed.
DeKalb County GOP chairman Marci McCarthy said she expects Georgia voters to cast 4 million votes by the end of the election day. Although polls show that candidates are close, she expects a red wave.
“There is no voter suppression here. There’s no Jim Crow 2.0. We’re able to vote whether you want to vote early in person, no reason absentee ballot, or on election day,” she said….
