The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) threatened to fine Canadian travellers who don’t use the government’s ArriveCan app when entering the country, following a recent update that expands the mobile app beyond its original function of collecting public health data on COVID-19.
In a July 7 tweet, the PHAC said travellers coming to Canada should “avoid delays and fines” by submitting their mandatory travel information on the ArriveCan app.
“All travellers still need a valid #ArriveCAN receipt within 72 hours before their arrival to Canada and/or before boarding a plane or cruise ship destined for Canada, regardless of vaccination status,” reads the tweet….
