The manufacturer of cat and dog Omega-3 supplements sold under multiple brands said it is recalling products amid concerns they have too high levels of vitamin A, according to a notice U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Florida-based Stratford Care USA Inc. said it is “taking this action after receiving a single serious adverse event from a sole consumer regarding their dogs’ exhibiting signs of Vitamin A toxicity after consuming the supplement.” It noted that that single report is the “only adverse event” reported associated with the supplements, adding that it is taking steps to remove all the products from the market in collaboration with the FDA….
