An online charity for children that was launched by injured Buffalo Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin has raised nearly $4.5 million in donations after the NFL player suddenly collapsed during the “Monday Night Football” game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hamlin created the GoFundMe page dubbed “The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive” after the Bills drafted him in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
The initial goal of the fundraiser was set at $2,500, and prior to Hamlin suffering cardiac arrest on the field on Monday, the page narrowly passed that goal,
according to an archived version of the page.
Since Hamlin’s hospitalization, donations have poured in. At the time of this writing, the page stands at $4.5 million raised, and it is still going up fast….
