As China’s communist regime has reportedly secured a deal to establish a spy base in Cuba, a lawmaker is calling for a boycott of Chinese goods to bring back the supply chain to the United States and finance the military.
According to Fox News, China’s spy base “predates the current president.”
Beijing “conducted an upgrade of its intelligence collection facilities in Cuba in 2019. This is well-documented in the intelligence record,” a Biden administration official told Fox on June 10.
The official called it an “ongoing issue” and part of the regime’s effort to ramp up its spying activities.
Previously, Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder denied claims that China struck a deal with Cuba to build a spy base, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal. He told reporters on June 8 the Defense Department was “not aware of China and Cuba developing any type of spy stations separately” but that it would continue monitoring the countries’ relations….
