JACKSON, Miss.—Terry Wages, the executive director of the Mississippi State Fire Academy, was struck by the perfection of Shen Yun Performing Arts when he watched it with his wife on Jan. 31 at the Thalia Mara Hall.
“What impressed me the most is the perfection of the performance,” said Mr. Wages. “The dancers—I’ve been watching and watching, and they don’t make mistakes. It’s just perfection. I’m amazed by that. I find myself wondering how they get to that level. The training must be tremendous.”
Based in New York, Shen Yun was founded in 2006 by leading Chinese artists and quickly became the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company.
