Asparagus & Potato Rösti

Ingredients 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
8 ounces asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1 tablespoon butter
1 pound frozen shredded potatoes Directions
