With daily news about Russian attacks on Ukraine and the building threat of similar strikes by communist China on Taiwan—any of which could escalate to conventional, tactical nuclear, or strategic nuclear war with the United States—more folks are starting to worry.
A Washington Post columnist asked readers to effectively throw Taiwan under the bus by continuing to spurn the country’s legitimate sovereignty and independence. That’s no way for democracies to show solidarity against building authoritarian threats around the world.
