The Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing back rotation stalwart Clayton Kershaw for a 16th season on a one-year, $20 million deal. The team announced the deal Monday, Dec. 5. It reportedly comes with a $5 million signing bonus for the left-hander.
Kershaw, 34, went 12–3 with a 2.28 ERA in 22 starts last season, earning his ninth All-Star nod.
The three-time Cy Young award winner owns a lifetime 197–87 mark with a 2.48 ERA and 2,807 strikeouts. He was named National League MVP in 2014.
