The Department of Defense (DoD) plans to send millions of dollars worth of fresh military aid to Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), the agency announced on Friday.
The assistance package is aimed at helping build the Ukrainian forces’ capacity to defend its sovereignty in the long term as well as “underscores” the continued support of Washington to help meet the country’s “most urgent needs,” a Nov. 4 press release by the DoD stated.
The defense department will send 45 Refurbished T-72B Tanks with advanced optics, communications, and armor packages, 1,100 Phoenix Ghost Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems, and 40 Armored Riverine Boats….
