SALT LAKE CITY—Scott Moses, an architect at Method Studio, Salt Lake City, brought his daughter and son to Shen Yun at the Doré Eccles Theater on March 12 because of his daughter’s love of dance. “It is incredible. It’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen,” he said. Even during his travels to Hong Kong and Thailand, he had not experienced such a unique performance. He wondered how his daughter could borrow from Asian culture, especially the costumes, which he noted were “elegant and colorful.” It was inspiring to see the positive themes, even in parts depicting persecution, Scott said.
