Featuring new holographic displays throughout the park, a newly decorated Sleeping Beauty castle, limited edition souvenirs and treats, and more, Disneyland in Anaheim, California, has unveiled plans for its 100th anniversary set to begin Jan. 27.
Adding to the festivities will be the park’s new, platinum-themed overlay which it says is meant to signify Disney and its characters’ ability to “withstand the test of time,” much like the precious metal.
Sleeping Beauty’s Castle will be decked out in platinum-themed silver decor during the day and transformed again at night with a holographic display for the park’s new ‘Wondrous Journeys’ show, featuring iconic Disney characters amid fantasy-themed backgrounds.
