Walt Disney Co has replaced veteran Hollywood executive Peter Rice with Dana Walden in a major shakeup to leadership, Chief Executive Bob Chapek announced on Thursday.
Walden was promoted to Chairman of Disney’s General Entertainment Content, where she will lead the company’s streaming television efforts.
The role will also allow her oversight of ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, Disney Television Studios, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content, and Onyx Collective.
Walden had previously served as entertainment chair for Walt Disney Television.
