With 397 of 435 congressional districts set for 2022 elections after Census reapportionment, a range of analyses acknowledge that heading into fall’s midterms, Democrats will benefit more than Republicans from the once-every-decade process. According to reviews and constantly updated trackers posted by Real Clear Politics, Politico, Fox News, and FiveThirtyEight, among others, neither party stands to make significant gains as a result of the reapportionment in securing the 218 seats necessary to hold the majority in Congress.
