Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.), who represents Arizona’s 2nd District, will not seek reelection in 2022. Kirkpatrick was elected in 2018 after two prior stints in the House. She had a stint in the lower chamber from 2009 to 2011 and 2013 to 2017. “Every two years for the past 18 years, there has been an election in Arizona with my name on the ballot. Serving Arizonans has been my absolute honor and joy, but after much consideration, I have decided not to seek re-election in 2022. I will continue the good fight through this Congress, and when the term is up, I will hand over the baton,” Kirkpatrick confirmed Thursday to KGUN-TV.
