One of the best ceiling coverups is tiles set in a metal grid, especially in a basement to conceal pipes and wires. But the metal grid can become pitted and rusted over time, so you have two options. You can remove the tiles, and prime and paint the grid for a fresh new appearance. Or option two is an easier solution: Use grid covers, made of high-grade PVC plastic. The pre-notched covers provide a seamless transition at the cross-tees where they intersect and where the grid meets the wall.
GridMax covers are designed for either 2-foot-by-2-foot or 2-foot-by-4-foot grid systems and they’re sold online and at home centers. You’ll find them in a variety of finishes….
