The Chinese Embassy in Britain made repeated attempts to pressure a prominent human rights advocate to stop criticising the Communist regime, it has been revealed. Benedict Rogers, co-founder and deputy chair of the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission, told The Epoch Times’ “American Thought Leaders” program about his own “very small experience” of the Chinese regime’s infiltration into Western democracies. “I’ve had at least four different British members of Parliament, on four different occasions, telling me that they have been directly lobbied by the Chinese embassy to ask me to, or to tell me to stop doing what I’m doing, to tell me to stop speaking,” Rogers said. “To their credit, all four members of Parliament made it clear to me they were not telling me to stop doing what I’m doing.
