Commentary If one is to draw comparisons between the territorial ambitions of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, it would seem that an invasion of Taiwan is imminent. As Putin’s war against Ukraine drags on, China is leveling up on its decision on Taiwan, going as far as to mention the “Taiwan question” in the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) recently released annual government report.
