Taiwan is facing a more imminent threat from a possible Chinese invasion than most people realize, said U.S. Adm. John Aquilino during his nomination hearing on Tuesday. Aquilino is nominated to become commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), succeeding current commander Adm. Philip Davidson.
