The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this week changed its monkeypox travel alert web page that had recommended people wear masks while traveling.
Earlier this week, the CDC’s monkeypox page had said, “Wear a mask. Wearing a mask can help protect you from many diseases, including monkeypox,” according to a cached version of the page. But as of Tuesday morning, that guidance was gone.
A spokesperson for the CDC told The Epoch Times on Wednesday that on Monday night, the agency removed the “mask recommendation from the monkeypox Travel Health Notice because it caused confusion,” without elaborating….
