A California congressional lawmaker on Saturday reported that two guns have been stolen from her Los Angeles home.
Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) said in a statement released via her campaign on Saturday afternoon that her house had been “broken into and burglarized” when she came home the night before, reported multiple outlets.
She said that “two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen.” She said that other belongings, including cash, electronics, and other valuables, were not taken.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was called to the scene, Bass said.
