One of the persons with the best insights into what’s going on inside the People’s Republic of China is Winston Sterzel and his YouTube channel. He lived there for 13 years until leaving in 2019 after he received death threats.
On June 15, he shared a video of a massive field of electric cars that are “rotting away,” he said. They’re 2021 models with “less than 31 miles on them,” all with license plates and fully registered. He pointed out headlines where China’s electric vehicle sales “outpace the rest of the world. … But what you’re not taking into account is China is the land of shortcuts and facades.” And the abandoned cars are counted in those numbers….
