Commentary A friend of mine defines a celebrity as someone of whom he has never heard. This is almost my definition too. Perhaps it is a sign of my tunnel vision, or rather tunnel attention, that world famous figures are to me often completely unknown. For example, while I had vaguely heard the name of Britney Spears, I did not know what she did for a living, or why she was famous. Was she an actress, an athlete, a singer, or merely an influencer with large buttocks? In fact, I was not even quite sure of her sex: her first name seemed to me only slightly more feminine than masculine.
