The Queensland government has lifted Brisbane’s three-day CCP virus lockdown, but people will need to continue wearing masks for another ten days. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told reporters on Monday the lockdown will end on Monday at 6 pm, and people will be able to leave their homes for any reason. The new mask rule and some restrictions on businesses are in place for a further ten days in the council areas of Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, and Redlands. Palaszczuk otherwise reported no new cases of community transmission, but there were four new cases confirmed in hotel quarantine—Emirates aircrew and passengers from the UAE. Two of them travelled from the UK, but it is unknown if they have the UK strain.
