Public Safety Minister Bill Blair claimed he has no say regarding the operation of quarantine hotels at a parliamentary committee hearing on March 10, during which he was grilled by Conservative MP Shannon Stubbs over safeguards for guests at federally approved quarantine hotels. “The operation of the designated quarantine facilities is entirely under the authority of the Public Health Agency of Canada. I actually have no jurisdiction over those matters,” Blair testified before the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
