John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, has condemned the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for its failure to publish a public notice of onshore oil and gas lease sales for this quarter. He said their continued inaction violates the federal Mineral Leasing Act (MLA). “The Biden Administration continues to defy the courts and the law. The BLM has blown past a critical deadline required to hold the first federal onshore oil and gas lease sale this year.
