The situation on the United States southern border is worsening, according to the chief deputy sheriff in Pinal County, Arizona. Chief Deputy Sheriff Matthew Thomas told Townhall about what has been going on lately at the section of the border in his area, particularly in relation to the change of administration and its policies. The sheriff showed reporters recent footprints of people who had illegally crossed the border into the United States. He said that they might have missed them by only a few hours.
