President Joe Biden is wearing a mask on his plane ride to New Hampshire on April 19, the White House said.
A White House aide said the move was done to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations.
“During transit on today’s trip, masking will be required in line with CDC guidance,” the aide told news outlets.
Biden departed Joint Base Andrews in Maryland just after noon and fly to Portsmouth, where he was scheduled to visit the New Hampshire Port Authority and deliver remarks on the infrastructure bill that he signed in late 2021.
Biden has often worn masks indoors and outdoors, though he has also removed them at times in both environments.
