U.S. President Joe Biden has nominated Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, to be the country’s next ambassador to Australia, pending Senate confirmation. Caroline Kennedy, 64, served as the U.S. ambassador to Japan between 2013 and 2017 under former president Barack Obama.
