Cuba’s democratic protests made international headlines a few months ago, but then suddenly disappeared. Marcell Felipe, a Cuba expert and an active community leader among Cuban Americans, claims it’s the Biden administration that killed the democratization process in Cuba. Felipe is an attorney and the founder of the Inspire America Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting democracy in Cuba and the Americas. In 2019 he was appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on the Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College, one of the largest colleges in the nation. “The Biden administration really killed it,” Felipe told NTD’s “Capitol Report” program during the National Conservatism Conference in Orlando. “It’s, quite frankly, was an unprecedented protest.
