Commentary Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) initiated the new Sino-U.S. cold war in the first half of 2020, the U.S. military has recognized the seriousness of the problem. It sped up its armament and issued a series of public reports on the CCP’s military threats. However, when the U.S. military tried to make up for the lack of national security, it encountered a rising force of China appeasement at home. In order for the United States to win this new Sino-U.S. cold war, it must first defeat those voices of appeasement.
