Construction workers in Melbourne have blocked a road in the city’s CBD on Friday morning to protest the Victoria government’s latest COVID-19 restrictions for the industry, with similar protests also occurring in Kew, Parkville, and Richmond. Dozens of workers blocked Lonsdale Street with plastic chairs and tables while taking a smoke break, stopping the trams on nearby Spencer Street. The roads are now cleared.
