SANTA CLARA, Calif.—The Augmented World Expo (AWE) took place in Silicon Valley from Nov. 9 to 11 this year after last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic. The expo was held at the Santa Clara Convention Center and featured artificial intelligence, bio-interfaces, haptics, 5G, streaming, and more. “A lot of customers and buyers are kind of connecting here, investors in startups, brands and creators and developers, so really bringing all of these people together is the main attraction of this year,” Ori Inbar, cofounder of AWE and Super Ventures, told NTD Television. “I think the main attraction is just seeing so many of our good friends here, and really giving the entire ecosystem an opportunity to get together to share stories about what we’ve been doing for the last two years,” Inbar said.
