An attorney who was on a phone call between President Donald Trump and Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has resigned from her law firm following widespread public scrutiny over the conversation. Attorney Cleta Mitchell, who has been assisting with Trump’s election legal efforts in Georgia, informed management from her firm Foley & Lardner on Tuesday that she would resign from her position as a partner at the firm, effective immediately. “Cleta Mitchell has informed firm management of her decision to resign from Foley & Lardner effective immediately.
