A recent series of attacks on elderly Asian Americans in San Francisco prompted leaders, members, and supporters of the AAPI community to demand a town hall meeting with the city’s police chief to address the issue. The meeting was held on Aug. 16 in Chinatown.
“There’s been a rise in anti-Asian hate crimes since the pandemic started, and it has not died down at all. And in the last week and a half in San Francisco there’s been three additional attacks on elderly Asian people,” Hudson Liao, Founder of Asians Are Strong and a co-organizer of the town hall told The Epoch Times’ sister media NTD….
