Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) has been a vocal critic of COVID protocols since early on in the pandemic.
“As much as they said they were ‘the science’, they weren’t. And they didn’t follow the science. They ignored it. They had an agenda. They had their solutions, they had their response, and don’t let any facts or science get in the way of what they want to do.
“We know that COVID is a deadly disease if you’re elderly, if you have certain comorbidities, but for the rest of us, it can be a pretty severe flu, or a very mild one, or asymptomatic. So, we should have followed that science. We should have heeded what John Ioannidis was telling us and not freaked out about this thing, not closed down our society, and not incurred the trillions of dollars of shutdown costs and the human toll of the economic devastation from those shutdowns.”…
