NEW DELHI—The United States has decided to support India with oxygen cylinders, oxygen generation systems, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, therapeutics, personal protective equipment, tests, and other related supplies as India struggles with a huge surge in COVID cases. Critics say the help has been slow in coming. For the past five days, India has set a new world record for a single-day increase in coronavirus cases, with over 300,000 new cases each day and a peak of 352,991 new cases on April 26.
