ANAHEIM, Calif.—As more than 170 volunteers clad in bright orange shirts spread out to different construction project areas, the Anaheim Ducks’ official mascot Wildwing rotated around the city’s newest playground site posing for photos and adding hype to the scene.
“The interest from people wanting to volunteer has been great.” the city’s Senior Communications Specialist Erin Ryan told The Epoch Times.
The volunteers worked alongside Ducks’ ice hockey players, coaches, and staff to build the 4300-square-foot playground in one day.
